Sharing Your Gift

Everyone has different gifts and talents. Some find them early in life, such as Beethoven, who was performing music in public at the age of seven. Life does become more meaningful when you find what you are gifted at and pursue it. But many of us fail to discover our talents and pursue the dreams we have. We take other paths in life to provide for ourselves and our families. There is no shame in this, but if you can do what you love, even as a hobby, life will feel more meaningful for you.

Discuss: What is one thing you’ve always wanted to do that you’ve never done yet?

Discuss: What is one thing you are gifted in that you can share with the world?

Discuss: What do you think are the special gifts or talents of the people here at the table?

Discuss: Do you have to be especially gifted or talented at doing something to enjoy doing it?

By the way, sharing your gift with the world doesn’t mean that you actually have to give something away. It means that you put your talents to use in a way that allows others to benefit from these gifts and from your labor.
